We will allow each owner a vote to weigh in on the topic. Poll results show after you place your vote. Thanks

Just to clarify, 7 rounds would not be a permanent change, correct? Only 2 or 3 seasons just to cover the loss of the 2021 non draft.

I put it as a permanent change, didn’t want to keep re-addressing this every 4 or 5 years.

While yes, a three year period would likely fill us all up, wouldn’t we just find ourselves in a similar place two or three years down the road from that?

2020 was only a 60 day season, hardly anyone lost prospect status so wasn’t much of a loss in terms of players advancing. I don’t consider that to have been the reason that several teams are so minor league short. It is clearly the path the owners took at the time. Sadly most of those said owners have also abandoned the league and left the understaffed minor league rosters to newcomers.

Ok so henchmen doesn’t know how to vote apparently since he logged in twice, liked the post, but didn’t vote lol. Anyway, his vote does not really matter in the end as 7 votes for the change of the 11 that voted make it a majority. We will amend the constitution to reflect a 7 round minor league draft beginning with 2024. This will also end the yearly discussion of adding minor leaguers to squads that are short. There are plenty of future picks available to retool a system in a year or two now.
